This page explains how paid plans on Revizona work: what you pay, when you are charged, how to cancel and when you can get a refund. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Revizona is provided by Revizona Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]).

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must buy your subscription (see Children and Parents). In that case, “you” on this page includes them.

1. Plans and prices

1.1 We currently offer these plans:

[PLAN LIST AND PRICES]

1.2 Prices include VAT where it applies. [CONFIRM: currency(ies) and VAT treatment with accountant]

1.3 Before you pay, checkout shows the plan, what it includes, the total price, the billing period, that the plan renews automatically, and how to cancel. We do not add mandatory fees later in checkout.

1.4 Our free blog and revision guides need no account and no payment.

2. Free trials

2.1 [FREE TRIAL TERMS, IF OFFERED: LENGTH, WHAT IS INCLUDED, WHETHER A PAYMENT METHOD IS NEEDED]

2.2 If a free trial needs a payment method and turns into a paid subscription automatically, we will:

  • tell you clearly at sign-up the date the trial ends and the price you will pay after it;
  • send you a reminder at least 3 days before the trial ends and before you are charged; and
  • let you cancel during the trial online, in a few clicks, without being charged.

2.3 If you are charged after a trial and did not mean to continue, the unwanted renewal refund in section 7 applies.

3. Billing and automatic renewal

3.1 When you subscribe, we charge the first period’s price straight away.

3.2 Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period for the same length of period, and we charge your payment method at the start of each new period, until you cancel.

3.3 The renewal price is the price of your plan at the time of renewal. If that price is different from what you last paid, section 5 applies, so you will always know in advance.

3.4 We send a receipt by email after every payment.

4. Renewal reminders

4.1 Plans of 3 months or longer. We email you at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before each renewal. The reminder tells you the renewal date, the amount, and how to cancel.

4.2 Monthly plans. You receive a receipt each month. We also send you a reminder at least once every 6 months confirming that your subscription is active, what it costs and how to cancel.

4.3 Reminders go to the email address linked to the account and, for users under 18, to the parent or guardian who bought the subscription.

5. Price changes

5.1 We may change our prices from time to time. If the price of your plan changes, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you.

5.2 The new price applies only from your first renewal after that 30-day notice period. It never applies to a period you have already paid for.

5.3 If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect. You will not be charged the new price, and you keep access until the end of your current period.

6. How to cancel

6.1 You can cancel at any time in either of these ways:

  • Online: go to Account settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription [CONFIRM: exact path at launch]. It is a single straightforward process: we will not make you call us, sign in somewhere else or go through repeated offers to stay.
  • By email: write to [email protected] from the email address on your account (or the parent or guardian email address for under-18 accounts) and say you want to cancel.

6.2 When it takes effect. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. If you also want a refund, see section 7.

6.3 Confirmation. We send you a confirmation email straight away when you cancel online, and when we process a cancellation request sent by email. Please keep it. If you do not receive it, contact us.

6.4 Cancel in time. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before your renewal date. If you cancel by email, we process it on the day we receive it. If you emailed before your renewal date but we did not process the cancellation in time, we will refund that renewal.

6.5 After cancelling. Your account is not deleted. You can still log in, see your history and use free features. To delete your account, see section 13.

7. Refund policy

7.1 This table sets out when we give refunds. It applies in addition to your legal rights, explained in section 8.

Situation What you get Conditions
Change of mind on your first purchase Full refund You ask within 14 days of your first paid purchase, and fewer than 10 of your answers have been marked in that time.
First purchase, used more than this No automatic refund under this policy We will still consider each request fairly, and your legal rights in section 8 always apply.
Service faulty or not as described (for example, a technical failure stops you using it, or a feature you paid for does not work as we described) We fix it. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you, a refund or a pro-rata credit, as you choose Tell us about the problem, ideally within a reasonable time of noticing it.
Renewal charged that you did not want Full refund of that renewal You ask within 7 days of the renewal date, and you have not used the paid features since the renewal (for example, no answers have been marked).
Plan of 12 months or longer renews and you change your mind Refund of that renewal, less a proportionate amount for the days since it renewed You cancel within 14 days of the renewal date.
Cancellation request we did not process in time Full refund of the renewal You asked to cancel before the renewal date.
Duplicate or incorrect charge Full refund of the extra or incorrect amount Tell us when you notice it.
We make a change that makes the Service materially worse, or change these terms to your disadvantage, and you cancel Pro-rata refund for the unused part of your paid period You cancel before, or because of, the change, as explained in the Terms of Service.
We stop providing Revizona, or close your account when you are not at fault Pro-rata refund for the unused part of your paid period None.
We close your account because you seriously or repeatedly broke the Terms Pro-rata refund for the unused part of your paid period, less any reasonable costs your breach caused us No refund if the subscription was obtained by fraud or payment abuse, except where the law requires it. If we closed the account by mistake, we restore it and put things right.
You cancel part-way through a period in any other case No refund for the rest of that period; you keep access until it ends Your legal rights in section 8 still apply.

7.2 “Pro-rata” means the part of what you paid that covers the time left in your current period, counted in days.

7.3 How to ask for a refund. Email [email protected] from your account email address with the date of the charge and the reason. You do not need to give a reason for a change-of-mind refund within 14 days. We will reply to confirm whether the refund is approved and, if it is not, explain why and how to take it further using our Complaints process.

7.4 Proving use. We work out whether answers have been marked, or paid features used, from our own account records. You can ask us for a copy of those records. If you disagree with them, tell us and we will look again; you are free to show us any evidence you have.

8.1 14-day right to cancel. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel within 14 days of buying. At checkout we ask whether you want access to start now. If you expressly agree to immediate access and acknowledge that you will lose this legal right once access starts, it ends when you start using the paid features. We confirm your choice in your confirmation email. Our refund policy in section 7 still applies, including the 14-day change-of-mind refund. If you did not give that consent and acknowledgement, you can cancel within 14 days and we will refund you, less a proportionate amount for the service provided until you told us you wanted to cancel.

8.2 Quality. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Service must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described, and provided with reasonable care and skill. If it is not, you can ask us to fix it or supply it again and, if we cannot, to reduce the price or give you a refund.

8.3 Outside the UK. If you live outside the UK, nothing on this page removes protections that the mandatory consumer law of your country gives you.

9. How refunds are paid

9.1 We aim to decide on a refund request within 5 working days of receiving it. We pay approved refunds to the payment method you used to pay, within 14 days of approving the refund, or sooner where the law requires. If that is no longer possible (for example, because the card has expired), we will agree another way to pay you with you.

9.2 Refunds are made in the currency you paid in. If your card or account is in another currency, the amount you receive depends on your bank’s exchange rate on the day, which may differ from the day you paid.

9.3 Refunds usually appear within a few working days of being sent, depending on your bank. We can give you a reference to chase it.

9.4 We do not charge a fee for refunds. We cannot refund conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your bank, as we do not receive them, unless they arose from our error.

10. Failed payments

10.1 If a renewal payment fails, we email you and try the payment again over a grace period of 7 days. Your paid access continues during the grace period.

10.2 You can update your payment method at any time in Account settings → Subscription.

10.3 If payment still fails at the end of the grace period, we pause your paid features. Your account, history and progress are not deleted, and you can restart your subscription at any time. We will not charge you for the time your features were paused.

10.4 We will not charge any late payment fee.

11. Chargebacks and payment disputes

11.1 If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first at [email protected]. We can usually sort it out faster than your bank.

11.2 You always keep the right to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer. If you do, we may suspend the paid features on your account while the dispute is open, to prevent the same charge being refunded twice. Your account, data and progress are not deleted.

11.3 If the dispute is decided in your favour, the paid features stay off and you will not be charged again for that period. If it is decided in our favour, or you withdraw it, we restore your access. Suspending access during a dispute does not affect your statutory rights.

12. VAT and payment provider

12.1 Prices include VAT where it applies. If you need a VAT receipt or invoice, contact [email protected].

12.2 Payments are processed securely by [PAYMENT PROVIDER]. We never see or store your full card number. Our Privacy Policy explains what payment information we receive.

13. Closing your account and your data

13.1 You can close your account at any time in Account settings or by emailing [email protected]. If you have an active subscription, closing your account also cancels it. Any refund follows section 7.

13.2 Before you close your account, you can ask us for a copy of your data.

13.3 When your account is closed, we delete or anonymise your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. We keep only what the law requires, such as payment and tax records, for the period the law requires.

14. Questions and complaints

Questions about a subscription, charge or refund: [email protected]. If you are not happy with our answer, see Complaints.
