This Cookie Policy explains how Revizona Ltd (“Revizona”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on revizona.com. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and local storage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that let a website keep small amounts of information on your device. In this policy we call all of these “cookies”.

Some cookies are strictly necessary: the website cannot work properly without them, for example to keep you signed in. Others are used for things like analytics or advertising. Revizona uses only strictly necessary cookies.

2. The cookies we use

The exact names of some cookies are set by our providers and may change. The table shows each cookie by purpose.

Name Set by Purpose Type Duration
[SUPABASE AUTH COOKIE NAME] (for example sb-…-auth-token) Revizona, using Supabase Keeps you signed in and links your requests to your account securely Strictly necessary: authentication Session token refreshes while you use the site; you stay signed in until you sign out or the session expires (up to [SESSION LENGTH])
[SUPABASE AUTH STORAGE KEY] Revizona, using Supabase Stores the sign-in session in your browser’s local storage where cookies are not used Strictly necessary: authentication Until you sign out
__cf_bm Cloudflare Distinguishes people from automated bots to protect the site from abuse Strictly necessary: security 30 minutes
cf_clearance Cloudflare Records that your browser has passed a security check, so you are not asked again Strictly necessary: security Up to [CF_CLEARANCE DURATION]
_cfuvid Cloudflare Applies rate limits fairly between users who share an IP address Strictly necessary: security Session
[THEME PREFERENCE KEY] (for example theme) Revizona Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode Strictly necessary: your requested preference (local storage) Until you clear it
[CHECKOUT STATE KEY] Revizona Remembers your place in checkout so a payment is not lost if the page reloads Strictly necessary: service you requested Session

When you pay, you may be taken to a page hosted by our payment provider, [PAYMENT PROVIDER]. That provider may set its own cookies, for example to prevent fraud. These are covered by its own cookie and privacy notices.

3. What we do not use

We do not use:

  • analytics cookies or tools that track how you use the site;
  • advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies or pixels;
  • any third-party trackers that build a profile about you across websites.

We never use cookies to profile students or show ads. This is especially important to us because many of our users are under 18.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, or to keep it secure, do not need consent. Every cookie we use falls into this group, so we do not show a cookie consent banner. We still tell you about them here.

5. If we add other cookies in future

If we decide to use any cookies that are not strictly necessary, for example privacy-preserving analytics to understand which revision guides are useful, we will:

  • update this policy first;
  • ask for your consent before setting them, with a choice to reject that is as easy as accepting, even where the law would allow some analytics without consent;
  • let you change your mind at any time;
  • never use them for advertising or to profile students.

6. How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • see which cookies are stored and delete them one by one or all at once;
  • block cookies from particular sites or from all sites;
  • clear local storage by clearing “site data”.

Help pages are available for each major browser, usually under “Privacy” or “Settings”.

Please note that because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them will stop parts of Revizona from working. In particular, you will not be able to sign in, and some security checks may fail. Deleting the theme preference simply resets the site to its default appearance.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. The “updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we plan to introduce non-essential cookies, we will tell you and ask for consent first, as described in section 5.
