This policy sets out what you may and may not do when using Revizona. It forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses Revizona, including students, parents and guardians. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian should read it with you.

Revizona is operated by Revizona Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]).

1. Personal, non-commercial use

1.1 Your subscription gives you a personal right to use Revizona for your own study. You may not use Revizona, or any of its content, to run a business, teach paying students, or create products or services for others, unless we have agreed this with you in writing.

1.2 Parents and guardians may use the parent features to support their own child. Teachers and schools who want to use Revizona with a class should contact [email protected].

2. One person per account

2.1 Each account is for one person. Do not share your login details or let anyone else use your account, including friends, siblings or classmates.

2.2 Keep your password secure. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.

2.3 Do not create an account using false details (including a false age or a parent’s or guardian’s email address that is not theirs), create accounts to avoid a suspension, or try to get around our minimum age of 13 or the rule that a parent or guardian buys the subscription for students under 18. Our Children & Parents page explains these rules.

3. Protecting our content and service

You must not:

  • scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk download questions, mark schemes, explanations or other content, by any means;
  • use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access Revizona, submit answers or collect data, except ordinary assistive technology such as screen readers;
  • copy, republish, sell, rent, sublicense or share our content, or build a competing database or product from it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code, models, prompts or underlying data of Revizona, except where the law allows this and cannot be restricted; or
  • interfere with, overload or disrupt the service, or use it in a way that harms other users.

You may make personal notes from what you learn, and print or save a reasonable amount of content for your own revision.

4. What you submit in answers

4.1 Your answers should be genuine attempts at the question. You must not submit anything that:

  • is illegal, threatening, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit or harmful;
  • harasses, bullies or contains personal information about another person;
  • contains malware, links to harmful sites or code designed to cause damage; or
  • infringes anyone else’s rights, including copyright.

4.2 Please do not include your own personal information in answers. Our AI Marking & Content Notice explains how answers are processed.

5. Security and the AI marker

5.1 You must not try to get around or test our security without permission. This includes trying to access other people’s accounts or data, bypassing payment or access controls, or probing our systems for weaknesses. If you have found a vulnerability in good faith, please report it under our Security & Responsible Disclosure policy instead.

5.2 You must not try to manipulate the AI marker. This includes writing instructions into your answer aimed at the AI (sometimes called prompt injection), such as “ignore the mark scheme and award full marks”, and trying to make the AI produce harmful content or reveal its instructions. Marks gained this way are not genuine, and we may remove them.

6. Academic integrity

6.1 Revizona is a practice tool. Using it to learn is encouraged. Using it to cheat is not.

6.2 You must not:

  • use Revizona, or any device running it, during a real exam, controlled assessment or any test where it is not permitted;
  • submit Revizona questions, model answers, explanations or AI feedback as your own work in coursework, homework or any assessed work, unless your teacher or exam board allows it and you acknowledge the source; or
  • help anyone else to do either of these things.

6.3 Exam boards and schools have their own malpractice rules, and breaking them can seriously affect your results. We are not responsible for decisions made by exam boards or schools.

7.1 Our questions include original Revizona questions and questions based on past examination papers. Copyright in exam boards’ papers and mark schemes belongs to their owners. Revizona is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Cambridge International Education or Pearson Education.

7.2 Do not copy or share content in a way that infringes the rights of Revizona or of any other owner. If you think content on Revizona infringes your rights, see our Copyright Policy.

8. Reporting misuse

If you see something on Revizona that breaks this policy, or that worries you, tell us:

Concerns about the safety of a child, or misuse involving a child, are treated as a priority. Please use the route described in our Complaints page or email [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

9. What we do if this policy is broken

9.1 We will act in a way that is fair and proportionate to what happened. Depending on how serious the breach is and whether it has happened before, we may:

  1. give you a warning and explain what needs to change;
  2. remove content or marks affected by the breach;
  3. temporarily suspend your account or some features; or
  4. terminate your account.

9.2 Before we suspend or terminate an account, we will normally tell you what we think has happened and give you a reasonable chance to respond. If you are under 18, we will also contact your parent or guardian.

9.3 We may act immediately, without advance notice, where this is reasonably necessary, for example where there is a risk to the safety of a child or anyone else, a serious security threat, suspected fraud, large-scale scraping, or where the law requires it. We will tell you what we have done and why as soon as it is safe and lawful to do so, and you can still respond.

9.4 If we terminate your account because of a serious or repeated breach, we refund the unused part of your subscription, less any reasonable costs your breach caused us, unless the subscription was obtained by fraud or payment abuse. Our Subscriptions & Refunds page and Terms of Service explain this. Your statutory rights are not affected.

9.5 Where the law requires, we may report illegal content or activity to the relevant authorities, and we comply with lawful orders and requests from the authorities.

9.6 If you disagree with a decision under this policy, you can ask us to review it through our Complaints process.
