1. Who we are
Revizona is operated by Revizona Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. In this page, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Revizona Ltd.
We respect the work of authors, teachers and exam boards. This page explains who owns the material you see on Revizona and what to do if you believe something here infringes your rights under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or other intellectual property law.
2. Who owns what
2.1 Our own content
Unless stated otherwise, the original questions, worked explanations, revision guides, blog articles, diagrams, software, design and branding on revizona.com are owned by or licensed to Revizona Ltd. You may use them for your own personal study as set out in our Terms of Service. You may not copy, republish, sell or scrape them without our written permission.
2.2 Exam boards’ material
Some practice questions on Revizona are based on past examination papers published by exam boards. Copyright in those papers, their mark schemes and examiner reports belongs to the exam boards or other rights holders who own them, not to us.
2.3 Trademarks
“Cambridge”, “Cambridge IGCSE”, “Cambridge International AS & A Level”, “Pearson”, “Edexcel” and other names of qualifications and organisations are trademarks of their respective owners. We use these names only to describe which qualifications our practice material is designed to help with.
2.4 No affiliation
Revizona is independent. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Cambridge International Education, Pearson Education or any other exam board.
3. Sending us a takedown notice
If you own the copyright or other rights in material that appears on Revizona, or you are authorised to act for the owner, and you believe our use of it is not permitted, please email [email protected]. You can also write to us at our registered office.
To help us act quickly, please include:
- Who you are: your full name, organisation (if any), and, if you are acting for someone else, the rights holder’s name and confirmation that you are authorised to act for them.
- The work: a description of the copyright work or other right you say is being infringed (for example, the paper title, session, component and year).
- Where it appears: the exact URL(s) on revizona.com and, for practice questions, the question ID shown on the question page. We cannot act on a notice that does not tell us where the material is.
- Good-faith statement: a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- Accuracy statement: a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.
- Contact details: an email address, postal address and, if possible, a telephone number.
- Signature: your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine).
If a notice is incomplete, we will tell you what is missing. We may share a copy of your notice, including your name and organisation, with any user concerned, but we will not share your personal contact details unless you agree or the law requires it.
4. What we do when we receive a notice
- Acknowledge. We aim to acknowledge every notice within 2 working days.
- Review. We check the material and the information you have given us. We may ask you for more details.
- Act. Where a notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the material promptly, typically within 5 working days of receiving a complete notice, or faster where the law or a regulator requires it.
- Tell you. We let you know what we have done and, where relevant, tell any affected user.
4.1 Court orders
Where we receive a court order or other lawful order to remove or block access to content, we comply within the time it requires.
4.2 Our position
Removing material in response to a notice does not mean we accept that it infringed anyone’s rights, and it does not waive any rights or defences we or anyone else may have, including the hosting defence in regulation 19 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002.
5. Counter-notices
Revizona does not allow users to publish their own content publicly. However, if material you submitted to us, or material that affects your account, has been removed because of a notice and you believe this was a mistake or that the use was authorised, you can send a counter-notice to [email protected] including:
- your name, contact details and account email;
- the material that was removed and where it appeared;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, or that you have the right to use it, with your reasons; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will review the counter-notice and may pass it to the person who sent the original notice. We decide whether to restore the material based on the information we have and any applicable law. We will tell you the outcome.
6. Repeat infringers
Where appropriate, we may suspend or close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others, in line with our Terms of Service. Before doing so we will tell the user why, unless the law prevents us, and they can respond through our complaints process.
7. Misuse of this process
Please use this process only for genuine claims. Sending a notice or counter-notice that you know is false or misleading may make you liable for any harm caused, and we may decline to act on notices that appear to be abusive, made in bad faith or intended to silence lawful use. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, you may wish to take legal advice before contacting us.
8. Licensing and other enquiries
If you are a rights holder and would prefer to discuss licensing, permission, attribution or a partnership instead of removal, we would be glad to hear from you. Email [email protected] or [email protected].
For questions about how we handle personal data in notices, see our Privacy Policy. To raise a concern about how we handled a notice, use our complaints process.
